Born in London as the son of Irene McManus, since an early age I have been interested in Tudor history, particularly the wives of Henry VIII and Mary Queen of Scotland. I am also especially interested in the history of my native city & its many illustrious residents, notably Samuel Pepys, George Frederick Handel, and Thomas More.
By the age of 16 I developed an interest in opera, These two became my passions and since then I have collected many recordings particularly operas of Verdi, Puccini, Bellini, Handel, etc.. I am also interested in collecting recordings of camp orchestral arrangements of baroque music.
Some of my favourite singers are Renata Tebaldi, Maria Callas, Giulietta Simionato, Joan Sutherland, Victoria de los Angeles, Regine Crespin, Leontyne Price, Mario del Monaco, and many more, Music is part of my life.
For the past 10 years I have been working at “Peter Jones” store, in the furnishing fabric department, meeting many interesting people over the years. Recently I was so lucky to find a job that really like. Now i am working in a fantastic music shop in muswell hill.
